167E00B3-C8CD-4AF9-A889-F923DB25EA73.MOV I have loved working on this little Japanese musical box. In it's original state the panels were mirrors and were badly frosted. I took all of the box apart, and replaced the mirrored panels for new panels I painted on rice paper. She now has a beautiful theatrical feel going on her journey with the wheels turning to swan lake. The  oblong shade fits perfectly and keeps the little drawers free to use for precious items. She has been sold now, and will journey off to her new home where I am sure she will be cherished. Goodbye little...

This fabulous Lamp has exceptional patina. A reclaimed  Industrial copper spray can used by a farmer. The straps removed, the can cleaned and loose rust removed, after wiring hair pin legs were applied to a wooden base. The bracket which originally held the back straps were used to hold the light switch echoing the original strapping. The  pierced wire lamp shade then hand painted with wax applied to the copper. A really beautiful lamp the only one in the world!!

Burning Buildings

First I started with an idea based on the awful tragedies and devastation of buildings on fire loss of life and all the impact of loss. Loss of family friends and loss of precious art works and personal things.
