These simple looking little lamps are much harder to make than they appear. To keep the integral look of a lovely old book I wanted to keep the pages on the outside. The Chandelier's book was hollowed out just keeping a fringe of pages on the outside, leaving space for the connectors and wires. A block of wood was then inserted to be able to drill and fix the book to the ceiling. The bedside lamps keeping the theme were drilled through, then large screw and bolts were attached to hold the lamp holder with an inbuilt switch. Finally felted at the bottom concealing any screws. Magical soothing little lamps for something different in you boudoir!
