Almost complete now just some tweaks. Some openings had to be cut inside the walls to let in light to all 4 rooms from the two lamp sources, lamps are on a dimmer switch. I made some character ghosts with self drying clay then painted them with egg shell paint. I wanted to move them around like chess pieces within the structure of the house. They are all named and numbered, that gave me the idea that they could be part of a mini story in each room. The two legged hound and rabid rabbit stalk the ghostly grounds. The only fixed piece is the hanging man a nod to the song strange fruits, my favourite version by Nina Simone.

I took all of the box apart, and replaced the mirrored panels for new panels I painted on rice paper. She now has a beautiful theatrical feel going on her journey with the wheels turning to swan lake. The oblong shade fits perfectly and keeps the little drawers free to use for precious items. She has been sold now, and will journey off to her new home where I am sure she will be cherished. Goodbye little...
The Elevated Tea Caddy has now been installed it looked fantastichanging above a beautiful old oak dining table. Just to add some glamour I had a box of crystal decanter stoppers. I pushed these into the metal grid of the potato sifter. The caught the light and added some magic. My client loved it here's some images of the finished lamp.
This fabulous Lamp has exceptional patina. A reclaimed Industrial copper spray can used by a farmer. The straps removed, the can cleaned and loose rust removed, after wiring hair pin legs were applied to a wooden base. The bracket which originally held the back straps were used to hold the light switch echoing the original strapping. The pierced wire lamp shade then hand painted with wax applied to the copper. A really beautiful lamp the only one in the world!!
